After graduation participants of the brain capital model have the freedom to chose any career path they regard as best for their personal development. They do not have to consider any liabilities from tuition financing.

If these liabilities incurred for tuition financing purposes towards banks, family members or third parties exist, WHU alumni try by experience to pay back the debt very early. Therefore, graduates usually join large international companies as soon as possible. In most cases this is a very attractive choice.

However, many students might have preferred to continue with their master studies, doing a PhD or joining a charitable institution instead. These decisions are restricted by fixed financial liabilities.

Others might have liked to start in a leading position in an SME or to launch their own business. Many WHU alumni are successful entrepreneurs and demonstrate how rewarding such a step can be. But these decisions are usually linked with a low initial income and a high risk.
